How to take care of your Eyes
Care for your eyes, you see the whole world through them.
Our eyes are continuously working with us and we should take good care of our eyes. We all must have experienced some kind of eye strains or associated headaches. But in most of the cases we ignore this and seldom takes care of our eyes the way we should be doing. This leads to headaches, puffiness around eyes or vision problems.
How to take care of your Eyes
- Take plenty of sleep – Minimum 6 hours of sound sleep is required for us to be healthy and so does our eyes need 6 to 7 hours of rest in a day
- Wear your eye protection – wear whenever you feel the need to wear it
- Remove your contacts at end of day, try to make sure that you do not wear them beyond 19hours
- Remove your eye make-up at end of the day
- Quit Smoking
- When working on a Screen, try to follow these tips:
- Your eyes should be at the level of screen
- Try to blink every 30 seconds
- Work in a well-lit area
Healthy Diet for your Eyes
A Healthy DIET, which is rich in:
- Vitamin A, C, E
- Zinc
- Omega-3 fatty acids
One should eat lot of:
- All type of Leafy Green Vegetables
- Fruits that contains citrus juice – Oranges, Grapefruits, Tangerines and Lemons
- Salads – Carrots, tomato, Corns
- Nuts – Pistachios, walnuts, almonds and other nuts
- For Non- Vegetarians – Eggs, Pork and fish are very good options
