Anal Fissure

An Anal Fissure is a tear in the lining of the lower rectum (anal canal) that causes pain during bowel movements. Anal fissures don’t lead to more serious problems. The rear part of anus is a common spot affected due to poor blood supply, leading to formation of fissure and difficult healing. Some conditions such as constipation, chronic diarrhoea, ulcerative colitis, Crohn’s disease, etc. could trigger or lead to fissure formation.

SYMPTOMS OF ANAL FISSURES

The most common symptoms of anal fissures are:

  1. sharp pain when you pass stools, often followed by a deep burning pain that may last several hours
  2. Itching
  3. Bleeding when you pass stools – most people notice a small amount of bright red blood either in their stools or on the toilet paper
  4. Sometimes an anal fissure may be a painless wound that won’t heal. It may bleed from time to time but cause no other symptoms

CAUSES OF ANAL FISSURES

Anal fissures are caused by injury or trauma to the anal canal. Injury can happen when:

  1. You pass a large stool
  2. You are constipated and try to pass a hard stool
  3. You have a repeated diarrhea
  4. Fissures can also be caused by a rectal exam, anal intercourse, or a foreign object

HOMEOPATHIC TREATMENT

Anal Fissure is largely considered as a medico surgical disorder. However, looking at it in the light of homeopathic medicine, it is medically correctable conditions. It is possible to avoid surgery using homeopathy, in most cases.

Homeopathic treatment is targeted towards UPROOTING THE DISEASE and ensuring health with no side effects. For prescribing to an individual, a PLAN OF TREATMENT is followed which involves:

  1. GETTING THOROUGH UNDERSTANDING OF CASE which includes complete case taking (analyzing patient as an individual) along with patient history and family history
  2. DIAGNOSIS OF PATIENT AND DISEASE
  3. INDIVIDUAL ASSESSMENT OF THE CASE
  4. PRESCRIBING THE MOST SUITABLE INDIVIDUAL CONSTITUTIONAL REMEDY
